Can dogs have nightmares?

My 10 month old chihuahua was sleeping in her bed when she randomly cried out & leapt out of bed & when I let her crawl into my lap, she cried out when I pried her away from me & now she refuses to get back on her bed. I checked the bed, there's nothing on it. What can I do?
